Porsche and Copec Voltex Open Charging Hub in O’Higgins

The Destination Charging program, promoted by Porsche in Chile, in collaboration with Copec Voltex, inaugurated a new charging hub in Viña Montes in the Colchagua Valley, O’Higgins Region.

At these new charging points, Porsche customers will be able to recharge their plug-in hybrid or 100% electric vehicle completely free of charge.

Vicente Díaz, Manager of Porsche in Chile, highlighted that this inauguration is another concrete step by Porsche to continue promoting electromobility in the country.

“Together with our partners Copec Voltex and Viña Montes, we are providing our customers with the possibility of charging their cars during their visits to this winery, which is a world reference and now becomes the first in the Colchagua Valley to incorporate electric chargers,” he said.

Project

The Destination Charging program, developed by Porsche, in alliance with Copec Voltex, considers the installation in strategic locations of the country, key to the daily lives of Porsche customers, and thus facilitate the free charging of their hybrid and electric cars.

In Chile, the Destination Charging program already has six charging points, in places such as Casa Costanera in Vitacura, the Solo Carnes restaurant in Concepción and now the Viña Montes in Santa Cruz.

According to Chile’s La Tercera, the program’s charging points can be found through the porsche-eperformance.com website, which includes a visible charging map showing the charging network at no cost to customers in hotels, restaurants, golf courses and sports centers, among other places.

Diaz concluded that this step marks Porsche‘s commitment to electromobility. “Our essence as a brand is to bring the future to the present and we are convinced that the future is electric and clean.”
