Porsche Boosts Electromobility in Ecuador with Chargers in Quito and Guayaquil

In order to strengthen its commitment to the transition to more sustainable energy sources and the promotion of eco-friendly mobility, Porsche Ecuador installed 20 charging stations strategically located in key metropolitan areas.

This is due to the fact that in Ecuador there are tax incentives that seek to promote the growth of the electric segment such as not paying special consumption tax, in the case of hybrids, or in turn for 100% electric vehicles, whose benefits entail not paying VAT, ICE, or tariffs.

In addition, they are exempt from paying public parking fees or be free of measures such as the peak and plate in the case of the city of Quito.

Porsche Committed to Electromobility in Ecuador

Porsche recognizes the fundamental importance of charging infrastructure to promote the development of this sector. That is why it has implemented the Porsche Destination Charging program, in order to ensure the availability of charging points for its vehicles.

This program focuses on the installation of charging stations in strategic locations: shopping malls, business areas, private clubs and other key locations. In this way, it is committed to facilitating the charging of its electric vehicles in convenient and accessible environments for its customers.

“Sportiness and speed are part of Porsche’s DNA. However, this is linked to the commitment to the environment and mobility, as we offer our customers the peace of mind of adding kilometers knowing that the brand has a project that ensures the charging of their vehicles and an environmentally friendly driving experience at the same time,” continued Carrillo.
