The DAF XF Electric is powered by PACCAR EX-D1 and EX-D2 electric motors , with power outputs ranging from 170 kW (230 hp) to 350 kW (480 hp). Depending on the configuration, the truck offers a zero-emission range of more than 500 kilometers.
One factor particularly highlighted by the jury was the use of state-of-the-art lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries , which are entirely free of cobalt and nickel—critical minerals whose extraction carries significant environmental and social impacts. These batteries are designed for an exceptionally long service life, and DAF backs them to be routinely charged to 100% without compromising durability.

IVECO: Sustainable Truck of the Year with Biomethane
The IVECO S-Way CNG represents a different approach from the purely electric path, but one equally validated by the market: liquefied natural gas compatible with biomethane as a pathway toward real and accessible decarbonization today—without waiting for high-power electrical infrastructure to be built along highway corridors.
