Secretaries of Mobility and Economy Analyze Electromobility Progress in Mexico

The push for electromobility has gained significance in Mexico as part of efforts to modernize the transportation system and reduce emissions.

This Thursday, Daniel Sibaja, Secretary of Mobility for the State of Mexico, held a meeting with Marcelo Ebrard, the incoming Secretary of Federal Economy, to discuss the progress and projects related to this issue.

During the meeting, both officials talked about plans to continue implementing sustainable transportation solutions in the State of Mexico.

This meeting marks an important step in the collaboration between different entities in the country to promote the use of electric vehicles and transform the transportation landscape in Mexico.

Sustainable Mobility: Public Policies

The Plan Colibrí includes 10 key initiatives, among which are the construction of the Mexicable in Naucalpan and the launch of the Metromex system.

It also includes the expansion of cycling infrastructure in the Valle de Toluca and the Valle de México, as well as the implementation of the Mexiquense Mobility Card.

Another important project is the completion of the trolleybus that will connect Chalco with Santa Marta, along with the updating and alignment of the Mobility Law.

The “Latam Mobility & NetZero Mexico” in Mexico City will bring together the most important companies and leaders in energy, transport, fuels, and mobility to showcase advancements and prospects in the industry in the country, the U.S., and the region.

The summit will feature a series of panels and thematic presentations playing a key role in advancing sustainable mobility, decarbonization, circular economy, and renewable energies, as well as notable networking opportunities for forming key alliances on the path to zero emissions.
