Siemens and Kiin Energy Sign Alliance to Boost Electromobility

Siemens Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, together with Kiin Energy, signed a strategic collaboration agreement. The main objective of the agreement is to accelerate smart electrification for the benefit of sustainable mobility in the country and the region.

According to the press release issued by Siemens, the alliance reflects a convergence of visions and capabilities between both companies, where the experience of the Mexican firm in sustainable energy solutions is combined with the knowledge of the German company in technology focused on the energization of mobility.

They believe that the synergy will accelerate the deployment of innovations for electric mobility, to address the challenges of the growing demand for electricity, to which the land transportation sector has joined.

Personalities

Present at the signing were Juan Eduardo García Torres, President of Kiin Energy; Humberto Eduardo García Handal, current CEO; and Juan Pablo García Handal, Vice President of Development of the company and the ‘Solar Beat’ division.

Siemens was represented by Marco Cosío, Vice President of Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure division for the region, and Horacio Ramos, Director of the Electromobility business.

García Torres highlighted that the agreement marks an important milestone in the joint commitment to drive the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.

“By combining Kiin Energy’s expertise in holistic sustainable electrification solutions with Siemens’ global experience in charging capabilities, we are poised to accelerate the development of electromobility,” he said.

For his part, Cosío pointed out that the collaboration with Kiin Energy will make it possible to offer integral solutions with a view to enhancing the sustainability of industries and cities.

In the same vein, Ramos emphasized that it is these types of alliances that will be responsible for solving the challenges of a market that is gradually growing and will be the predominant trend in the field of mobility in the next two decades.

“The increase in electric vehicles and the demands for fast charging infrastructure are challenges to which this collaboration will provide an efficient and sustainable response,” said the executive.
