The authorities of the city council of Durango, Spain, offered their support for the construction of an electric car by the students of the Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional de Iurreta (CIFP).
This is an important agreement to promote sustainable mobility in the state. Students of the educational institution have built an electric car in the last courses, within the project called Euskelec.
According to the educational institution, the main objectives of the project are the collaboration of students from different families, a learning model that is close to reality and the commitment to sustainable mobility.

Key Alliance
The Mayor of Durango, Mireia Elkoroiribe, and the director of CIFP Iurreta, Esther Elexgaray, signed the agreement that highlights the collaboration between different sectors of society to work on decarbonization.
Euskadi and the different Vocational Training centers at state level compete in the Euskelec project and the town council of Durango will support the students in the construction of the electric car.
The CIFP Iurreta is a publicly owned integrated vocational training center whose main objective is to provide students with quality vocational training.
The Euskelec project also responds to this objective. Thus, through this new agreement, the City Council has put the interest in being a sponsor and in promoting the training and development of students.
