Spain appointed Óscar Puente as the new Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, with the aim of leading the transition to clean energy.
Puente, former mayor of Valladolid, said in his inaugural speech that the transition to a healthy, sustainable and safe mobility and to do so at “high speed”, is his main goal in this ministry.
Likewise, the new Minister of Transport assured that his office is open to all, that he is a firm advocate of dialogue and public affairs and that he is here to make policy and contribute his experience.

Roadmap
The new Ministers of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, and of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, set themselves the challenge of making housing a State policy thanks to a pact between everyone and moving towards healthy and sustainable mobility as soon as possible.
“There is a large number of infrastructures underway and planned that will make our country a more competitive country,” said Puente.
During Raquel Sánchez’s time at the Ministry of Transport, the liberalization of rail transport in Spain began to develop.
During the inauguration of their posts at the headquarters of what until now was the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, they were supported by the heads of Finance, María Jesús Montero; from Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera; Defense, Margarita Robles; Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares; Territorial Policy, Ángel Víctor Torres and Education, Pilar Alegría.
