The Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, started the first stage of the replacement of the vehicle fleet of Mexibús Line 2, by starting up 15 electric units that will benefit 3 million users.
The official highlighted that her administration promotes electromobility as a public policy that contemplates the necessary actions to carry out the energy transition and the electrification of transportation “with dignified and comfortable units that contribute to the quality of life of the people of Mexico”.
In this phase, 15 units will be replaced by the Transcomunicador company: 10 specially designed for the Pink Service, with capacity for 90 passengers, and five units with capacity for 160 people.

Operations
Gómez affirmed that operational tests will be carried out to evaluate the possibility of replacing more units of this transport as of July 2025.
“And I know that it is a spearhead, and in the near future we will talk with our fellow carriers and we will make this proposal, we will see that if the Government of the State of Mexico can, maybe take some actions to facilitate the acquisition of more units, we have to do it,” she said.
Daniel Sibaja González, Secretary of Mobility of the State of Mexico, explained that with this technology the operating costs of the units will be reduced by up to 30 percent, which will have monitoring systems, internet access, and connections for mobile devices.
This action offers efficient, dignified, and safe public transportation for the people of the State of Mexico, and promotes environmental protection by reducing pollutant emissions.
