Wallbox, one of the leading providers of charging and energy management solutions worldwide, is about to install the first fast chargers in Latin America.
Specifically, it will be in Brazil where the first units of Supernova, the Spanish company’s public charging solution, will arrive.
Initially, Wallbox will install in the South American country the 60kW version of its public charger. A charging speed that allows it to add up to 100km of autonomy to the battery of an electric vehicle in less than 15 minutes.
It is an ideal charging solution for shopping malls, vehicle dealerships, fleet managers or fast food restaurants.
“We can finally offer electric vehicle drivers in Brazil our public charging solution. At Wallbox we are convinced that Supernova is the fast charger that will help make the transition to zero-emission mobility for Brazilian drivers”, explained Diego Martins, Wallbox‘s Head of Latin America.
According to Martins, “Wallbox has already installed almost a thousand Supernova units around the world, which demonstrates the success of this charger that Brazilian drivers will soon be able to benefit from.
This charger is composed of six power modules that work together to provide maximum power while maintaining their operational independence.

The Supernova’s Modular System Facilitates Installation
This modular assembly gives it unprecedented flexibility, ensuring that the charger continues to operate optimally in exceptional circumstances.
In addition, the charger features a modular configuration and optimized design that results in a more efficient charging solution at a reduced cost compared to other similar products. This same composition generates significant advantages in terms of infrastructure and resources required for installation and maintenance.
The charger is also equipped with two CCS2 hoses, as it can charge two vehicles at the same time thanks to its “Split Charge” technology, making it the ideal charger in places with limited electrical power, such as car dealerships, shopping malls or supermarkets.
Like the other Wallbox models, Supernova can be connected to the Internet via 2G/3G/4G/LTE or Ethernet for remote and real-time monitoring of the status of the infrastructure and the recharges carried out.
It also features an interactive light system and 10-inch, sunlight-readable color display with IK10 certification, different payment and identification methods.
The Supernova fast charger arrives in Brazil with a frequency of 60hz, the main difference with the version that has been sold in Europe for more than a year (which has a frequency of 50hz).
For Wallbox, it is also essential to offer both quality chargers and a service that is up to the task. For this reason, Diego Martins explained that “before installing the first units of the Supernova public charger, we will provide good technical training to all our customers so that they can install the chargers properly and provide good technical assistance”.
Currently, Supernova orders can already be placed for Brazil and the first units are scheduled to be installed in the Latin American country starting in July.
