The American continent is undergoing remarkable changes in mobility due to the large investments made by iconic automotive manufacturers, and the efforts coming from the public sector to encourage the use of zero-emission vehicles.
While it is true that there are still many challenges to be met, more and more strategies are being added in the region to promote the decarbonization of the vehicle fleet, one of the items that emits the most carbon dioxide worldwide.
Against this backdrop, a leading company such as Kia America launched its new campaign “The Power of Silence”, designed for the most powerful vehicle produced by the brand to date.
It is the electric EV6 GT with 576 hp, which also features professional racing driver Kris Martin, who suffers from hearing impairment. The presence of the racer is intended to give greater emphasis to the message of the brand.

A Climate Conscious Message
Through its communication channels, Kia explains that “you had to listen to the high-performance vehicles of the past to believe them. And campaigns promoting these vehicles often featured revved-up engines and tight exhaust systems. But this new campaign developed by David&Goliath, Kia’s official creative agency, communicates loud and clear the new EV6 GT’s message: silence can be powerful.”
The spot, which lasts just 30 seconds, features the NASCAR and Le Mans driver as an advocate, motivational speaker and inspiration for the hearing impaired community. For the manufacturer, Martin is the perfect example of someone who has defied the odds.
The “Power of Silence” clip begins with Martin behind the wheel of the all-electric Kia EV6 GT. The driver rolls around a professional racetrack, cornering, accelerating on the straights and even drifting.
Car Details
According to Kia America VP Russell Wager, the brand’s new car “is really powerful.” “The Kia EV6 GT has set a new performance standard, especially among electric vehicles.”
For the brand, the days of noisy engines and thunderous acceleration are in the past. They claim the all-electric EV6 GT proves that you don’t need sound to illustrate your power.
The EV6 GT raises the EV6’s performance threshold, with a two-motor powertrain that sends power to all four wheels. An energy-dense 77.4 kWh battery pack serves a 160 kW front-mounted motor.
For its part, the powertrain is combined with a 270 kW rear-mounted machine. In addition, the combined power is 430 kW (585 hp) and peak torque is 740 Nm.
The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds at a top speed of 260 km/h (160 mph). An independent tests conducted by AMCI Testing, the EV6 GT outperformed a Ferrari Roma 2021 and a Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder RWD 2 2021 in acceleration.
