In the past month of September, Toyota reached a significant milestone in the Mexican market by selling over 150,000 hybrid vehicles since its introduction in the country 14 years ago.
The arrival of Toyota’s hybrid vehicles in Mexico, which began in 2010, has transformed the perception of eco-friendly cars. The Prius, the brand’s first hybrid, has been fundamental in this transition.
In recent years, the demand for hybrid vehicles has increased significantly, driven by climate change, rising fuel prices, and awareness of air pollution.

Toyota’s Response
Toyota has responded to this demand by expanding its range of hybrid models, such as the Camry Hybrid and the RAV4 Hybrid, allowing more Mexicans to access advanced and environmentally friendly technology.
In this way, and despite challenges in the supply of semiconductors and other logistical issues, Toyota has maintained its commitment to sustainable mobility.
The brand has not only sold vehicles but has also invested in education and the promotion of electric mobility, contributing to a cleaner future for Mexico.
Undoubtedly, this figure of over 150,000 hybrid vehicles sold positions Toyota as a leader in the segment of sustainable mobility, demonstrating that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
