Voltbras and its Ambitious Dream of Electrifying Latin America

Ana Luiza Berti, Commercial Director of Voltbras, explained that the company is focused on the software part for management of the chargers, which goes from an application so that the user can find a charging point, make the payment for the recharge so that they have a good user experience on a platform.

“We are currently in seven countries. In Colombia we perceive a panorama very similar to Brazil a few years ago, then we see that companies are looking at the electric mobility market with more interest, thinking about investing more,” the executive told Latam Mobility.

Regarding her participation in Latam Mobility Colombia 2024, Berti pointed out that these types of meetings are vital to be part of the development of mobility.

Key Alliances

Berti explained that without alliances it is very difficult for the mobility market to develop in the region. “You have to have alliances with charger manufacturers, with networks, with vehicle manufacturers, so throughout Latin America we have these types of partnerships with manufacturers that are developing chargers.”

She detailed that in Colombia specifically they are signing agreements with different companies focused on charging infrastructure.

“We are very focused on being the main technology for all of Latin America and with that we believe a lot in roaming, I don’t know if you know the term but it is basically sharing all charging infrastructure in Latin America.”

Berti revealed that they already have customers in Uruguay and Brazil, assuring that it is already possible to make a trip between the two countries with an electric car.

“Our dream is to be able to make those electrified trips throughout Latin America,” concluded the Voltbras executive.

Voltbras has developed solutions designed both for public recharging, for the end consumer, and for fleet and residential recharging.

The company considers that it is essential to continue approving tax incentives from the public sector to encourage private investment that will allow massification of electromobility.
