Volvo Car Chile announced new developments such as the energy transition of its models, the renovation of its branches in line with the experience at its origin in Sweden and the arrival of new electric engines for the XC40 and C40 Recharge models.

In that sense, Rodrigo Espinoza, Manager of Volvo Car Chile, pointed out that in order to become a 100% electric manufacturer by 2030, they must bet on a comprehensive strategy that aims at an irreversible change in the industry.

“The whole process is aligned with our objectives, which range from boosting the strengthening of the charging network nationwide, facilitating learning about electromobility and having a wide range of plug-in hybrid and 100% electric products, with which we will start the energy transition of all our models from 2024”, he said in statements reviewed by Espacio T.

One of the main innovations presented by the brand considers the energy transition of its entire portfolio, a process that will begin in Chile in 2024 with the sale of the last units of micro-hybrid vehicles, to market only plug-in hybrid and pure electric vehicles from 2025.

The announcement will allow the company to advance, globally, in its electrification strategy where they expect 50% of sales to consider electric vehicles by 2025, and thus become a 100% electric car manufacturer as of 2030.

Another novelty has to do with the renovation of the branches under the “Volvo Retail Experience” standard, with which the brand seeks to offer a new Scandinavian experience, where quality, design and attention to detail are the starting point to welcome everyone to the Volvo Car Chile world.

This improvement will consider the adaptation of seven dealerships throughout the country and the incorporation of two new points in Osorno and Puerto Montt.
