Wallbox Charging, Emovili and Banco Santander achieve significant milestones in electromobility

Wallbox Charging announced a key partnership with Emovili to help Banco Santander reduce CO2 emissions, with a strategy that will seek to encourage rent-a-car customers to make the switch to an electric car.

The focus of the partnership is to facilitate the installation of charging solutions to all Banco Santander’s car leasing customers residing in Spain, combining Wallbox‘s chargers and software solutions through Emovili‘s innovative service and expertise.

“The signing of an agreement with such an important global entity is undoubtedly a real milestone for both companies,” says Wallbox in a press release.

Goals Achieved

According to Wallbox Charging, the agreement has contributed to reducing CO2 emissions and mitigating its impact on the environment. In addition, Emovili has installed 208 Wallbox chargers.

Our goal is to reach a total of 750 installations in the next two years, which would avoid the emission of 1,500 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere,” adds Wallbox in its press release.

Francisco Casas, CEO of Emovili, points out that in order to turn sustainable mobility into a mass movement that affects the whole of society, simple, accessible and safe solutions are needed. “The solution is there: we just need to take the next step,” he assured.

From 2021, Banco Santander and emovili signed an agreement to electrify the leasing fleet.
