According to figures from the International Energy Agency, transportation accounts for a quarter of global carbon emissions (CO2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mitigate the aforementioned polluting effects of the vehicle fleet, not only major vehicle manufacturers and technology companies are focusing their efforts on the transition to a new way of getting around, but also companies linked to the industry want to contribute to these objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company Emasa, which specializes in selling spare parts and accessories for cars and operates in Chile, Peru and Colombia, is making innovations to promote sustainable mobility and develop electromobility in the country as its strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company&#8217;s roadmap includes the goal of achieving 30% of its revenues from new businesses related to what is known as &#8220;the mobility of the future&#8221; by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-actions\">Key Actions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the initiatives to achieve the goals set, Emasa launched a mobility hub, for which it invested US$4 million over 5 years. In addition to this investment, the Emasa Ventures fund has been created to finance startups, providing them with a space where they can develop new formulas and subsequently convert them into future sources of financing for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company assures that the funds earmarked for its electromobility agenda, together with technology companies such as Korber Supply Chain, will allow it to increase its production capacity, as well as improve inventory management and guarantee perfect deliveries at the right time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-education-and-information\"><strong>Education and Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2021, Emasa has provided a series of free online workshops on electromobility topics in its three regional subsidiaries to different stakeholders in the automotive industry, including teachers, mechanics, businessmen, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has implemented more than 30 talks and has trained more than 700 people in the three countries. The goal for this year is to reach 1,000 new users in the automotive world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is also part of the company&#8217;s Sustainability Policy, which has as one of its strategic pillars to carry out this type of training in electromobility, with the aim of providing knowledge and tools for the design, development and implementation of electric mobility in the social, business, educational and environmental ecosystem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Electric mobility is emerging as one of the solutions to the climate crisis affecting humanity.
