For suppliers like Blink, the program serves as a bridge to introduce potential new customers to the company&#8217;s electric vehicle technology, equipment and network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-agreement-details\"><strong>Agreement Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blink reported through its official website that the contract for electric vehicle charging equipment and services was signed for a term of up to 10 years, a pact that will allow governing board members to participate in any of the company&#8217;s deployment models with favorable negotiated terms as awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initial plan estimates that up to 700 charging stations will be installed over the life of the purchase agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blink Charging President, Brendan Jones, expressed his satisfaction with this new opportunity to bring state-of-the-art technology and equipment to member communities and agencies working with the Region 1 Planning Council in northern Illinois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are seeing tremendous opportunities in the marketplace, reflecting the increased commitment of local, state and federal entities to establish cost-effective and convenient EV infrastructure as the transition to electric vehicles gains momentum,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Blink executive said winning a competitive bidding process such as the Region 1 Planning Council&#8217;s is important because it demonstrates the market&#8217;s growing recognition for the versatility and performance of the company&#8217;s EV charging technology, equipment and network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blink Charging continues to expand its operations within the United States to implement its technological charging infrastructure on the country&#8217;s main highways.
