For the massification of electric mobility, it is imperative to have a sufficient and optimal charging infrastructure that meets the needs of the market. In this sense, Enel X Way plays a fundamental role in the deployment of energy supply points in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In alliance with the Falabella group and the Tottus supermarket chain, the Italian group provided the first fast-charging electric station in the shopping center located in the Vitacura municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fast charging stations inaugurated are part of the agreement with Tottus and Falabella Group, which seek to promote the implementation of electric vehicles in cabs, Tottus customers and last mile fleets, the latter being a key part of the company’s sustainability strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Characteristics and Power<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to information published on Enel Chile’s official website<\/a>, the implementation of the charging point has two 60 kW JuicePump chargers, capable of delivering energy simultaneously to four vehicles, with an estimated time of between 20% and 80% in approximately 35 minutes. This is the first charger of this type and power installed in a supermarket.
Through the free-to-download JuicePass application, users can interact with the smart charging platform, allowing easy use and payment, thus achieving total control of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enel’s efforts in these projects are supported by the National Electromobility Strategy approved by the Chilean authorities, which establishes that by 2035 only electric vehicles will be sold in the country. For this reason, the company considers it essential to install a sufficient and prepared charging infrastructure to encourage the development of electric transport which, by not polluting, will contribute to protecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general manager of Enel X Way Chile, Jean Paul Zalaquett, explained that the company has an important focus of action, which is to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The work developed with Tottus allows us to advance in promoting electromobility, achieving greater coverage and convenience for users,” he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Infrastructure General Manager of Falabella, Diego Vergara, who emphasized that in the future electricity is going to be one of the main sources of energy for means of transportation. “In the company we continue to deepen our commitment to sustainable development, working on the challenges that lie ahead in terms of electromobility for our operations and for the benefit and convenience of our customers”.
