The world of video games has ceased to be merely an entertainment activity to join everyday life, and even new business models related to this industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great need for cities and people to mitigate pollution and make transportation in cities more efficient has led to the inclusion of all sectors of society in this fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this sense, Esports City League<\/strong> and the application Movil Liight<\/strong> joined forces to present the “Planet Challenge”,<\/strong> an initiative that seeks to promote sustainable mobility among gamers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does the Challenge Consist of?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The objective of the challenge is for gamers to perform different sustainable actions that will be registered and will award them points to get different prizes, through the Liight application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will have the possibility to compete in different mechanics through rankings by cities, leagues or missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To obtain points in these challenges, they will have to carry out the sustainable actions listed in the application, such as walking, cycling or recycling, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Esports City League <\/strong>Founder, Arturo Castell\u00f3<\/strong>, pointed out that the aim of this initiative is to promote awareness of the sustainability of the planet through the video game and encourage a way of life that is more respectful of the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the CEO and Co-Founder of Liight<\/strong>, Santiago Jimenez<\/strong> said that climate change is a problem that affects everyone, so this challenge involves a great alliance between the world of sustainability and e-sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carbon Emissions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The execution of sustainable habits within the video games will be validated by the application through artificial intelligence and the sensors of the mobile device, calculating the reduced carbon dioxide footprint and the sustainable kilometers traveled to help the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
