{"id":14062,"date":"2022-11-16T07:27:21","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T12:27:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=14062"},"modified":"2022-11-16T08:53:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T13:53:33","slug":"sustainable-mobility-uber-planet-reduces-109000-co2-tons-in-latin-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/sustainable-mobility-uber-planet-reduces-109000-co2-tons-in-latin-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainable Mobility: Uber Planet Reduces 109,000 CO2 Tons in Latin America"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The cab service platform <strong>Uber <\/strong>revealed important figures regarding its sustainability strategy to reduce carbon emissions in its trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/es-MX\/blog\/uber-planet-en-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Uber Planet<\/strong><\/a>, an innovative mobility product that provides collaborating partners with a zero net emissions ride without forcing them to immediately switch to unaffordable and impractical vehicle technologies, the company has moved <strong>22.5 million users and offset 109,000 tons of CO<sub>2<\/sub> only in Latin America.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, <strong>Uber <\/strong>has electric car projects in countries such as <strong>Ecuador<\/strong>, <strong>Peru<\/strong>, <strong>Chile<\/strong>, <strong>Mexico<\/strong>, <strong>Brazil <\/strong>and the <strong>Dominican Republic<\/strong>. In addition, they estimate that this initiative will be expanded in the short term in <strong>Costa Rica<\/strong> and <strong>Colombia<\/strong>.
