A few months ago, <strong>the first 100% electric charging station was inaugurated in Sao Paulo<\/strong>, and more and more international companies are betting on the country to develop technological solutions in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Awto<\/strong>, a Chilean mobility startup that offers rental of conventional and electric cars and motorcycles, officially began operating in the largest Latin American market. Through strategic alliances and important financing plans, <strong>they managed to get 300 vehicles, including motorcycles, onto the streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awto&#8217;s CEO,<strong> Francisco Loehnert<\/strong>, told the <strong>DFSUD<\/strong> portal that the expansion began in the west zone of Sao Paulo to take advantage of its activity and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"705\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-1024x705.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15626\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-1024x705.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-768x529.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-1536x1057.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-2048x1410.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AW-2-600x413.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Awto<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/public-transportation-system-in-chile-incorporates-107-new-electric-buses\/\"><strong>Public Transportation System in Chile Incorporates 107 New Electric Buses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-resources-injection\"><strong>Resources Injection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Investments in the order of US$ 1.5 million have been made from the uprising; the important focus is growth next year and, from this uprising, we will continue to invest between US$ 2.5 and US$ 3 million in S\u00e3o Paulo, but we will start looking at key cities such as Campinas and Curitiba,&#8221;<\/strong> Loherter explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Awto&#8217;s goal is to have an operational fleet of 600 units by the second quarter of 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The company&#8217;s business model is based on renting a car or motorcycle by the minute, hour or day, and it can be left parked anywhere<\/strong>, as long as it is within the coverage range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, <strong>Awto <\/strong>has 40 active locations in the Brazilian city and, according to the executive, the idea is to expand to 100 in the short term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-important-partners\"><strong>Important Partners<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to land in Brazil with a significant impact, <strong>Awto <\/strong>has established a partnership to have Kia hybrid vehicles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have the <strong>GM <\/strong>city cars and SUVs, the <strong>Fiat Fiorino<\/strong> range of cargo utility vehicles with a <strong>B2B focus<\/strong>, and we have delivered approximately 50<strong> Kia Stonic<\/strong>, which are hybrid models,&#8221; explained Loehnert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He assured that they will progressively include more electric cars, a goal that has been slowed down due to the still insufficient charging infrastructure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brazil is experiencing a significant boom in sustainable mobility.
