{"id":15684,"date":"2023-01-17T07:37:28","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T12:37:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=15684"},"modified":"2023-01-17T07:37:35","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T12:37:35","slug":"emasa-announces-winning-companies-of-its-mobility-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/emasa-announces-winning-companies-of-its-mobility-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Emasa Announces Winning Companies of its &#8220;Mobility Challenge&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Emasa, a company specialized in the sale of spare parts and accessories for cars that carries out its operations in <strong>Chile<\/strong>, <strong>Peru <\/strong>and <strong>Colombia<\/strong>, is making innovations as part of its strategy, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility and developing electromobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company&#8217;s roadmap includes <strong>the goal of achieving 30% of its revenues from new businesses related to what it calls &#8220;the mobility of the future&#8221; by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the initiatives to achieve these goals, <strong>Emasa <\/strong>launched a mobility hub, for which it invested US$4 million over 5 years. In addition to this investment, the <strong>Emasa Ventures<\/strong> fund has been created to finance startups, providing them with a space where they can develop new formulas and subsequently convert them into future sources of financing for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-great-call-for-proposals\"><strong>Great Call for Proposals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative called <strong>&#8220;Emasa Mobility Challenge&#8221;<\/strong> brought together more than 40 entities that applied with their projects to access a six-month membership and also be part of the most important collaborative network around mobility in the country and the region, resulting in the selection of four outstanding ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are <strong>Movener<\/strong>, a startup that converts combustion vehicles into electric vehicles, promoting the circular economy and which plans to open an office in <strong>Silicon Valley<\/strong> in the United States this year, as well as <strong>ReparaTuAuto<\/strong>, a marketplace for automotive services, which allows vehicle owners to find the service they require in one place, compare prices and book services in mechanic workshops with high levels of quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-announces-global-charging-network-for-electric-vehicles\/\"><strong>Mercedes-Benz Announces Global Charging Network for Electric Vehicles<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the company <strong>MOVIA <\/strong>facilitates the transition to electromobility by managing vehicles and electric chargers for an efficient, economic and sustainable operation, with a projection towards Asia-Pacific markets, and <strong>Andes Electronics<\/strong>, a startup that develops energy storage systems through reusable batteries, boosting the business of the second life of these and hopes to reach international markets such as <strong>Australia<\/strong>, <strong>Colombia <\/strong>and possibly <strong>China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project also seeks collaboration between the company and startups that are making innovation efforts in the mobility space, with high innovative potential and solutions related to electromobility, connected cars, shared mobility and\/or digital platforms, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sebasti\u00e1n D\u00edaz Muzio<\/strong>, <strong>Emasa Ventures<\/strong> Investment Manager, highlighted that the importance of generating alliances with startups, is that they will be able to access a unique community in Latin America, focused on sustainable mobility of the future, aimed at relevant industry players, from the public and private sectors, academia, among others, thus facilitating the generation of new business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the benefits of membership, firms will also have the opportunity to present their venture and integration and investment opportunities to the <strong>Emasa Ventures<\/strong> team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emasa, a company specialized in the sale of spare parts and accessories for cars that carries out its operations in Chile, Peru and Colombia, is making innovations as part of its strategy, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility and developing electromobility.
