The versatility of the new architecture in terms of wheelbase, track width and ground clearance, allows its adaptation to a wide variety of models in different segments. This flexibility, at the same time, allows the brand to retain a strong, independent character in its new vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first <strong>Porsche <\/strong>based on the PPE platform will be the fully electrified <strong>Macan<\/strong>. Its objectives include achieving a long range, fast charging of high performance and a high level of performance, available on a continuous basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the sportier variants, engineers are designing a highly dynamic driving experience by integrating a fully variable electronic rear differential lock and also by means of a so-called &#8216;<strong>Performance<\/strong>&#8216; rear axle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added to this is a powerful electric motor located behind the rear axle. All this makes it possible to implement an all-wheel drive that operates over a wide range and gives prevalence to the rear axle. In combination with the dynamic torque distribution system,<strong> it provides great dynamism when accelerating out of corners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the EPP platform supports rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, and various power levels. <strong>The powertrain will initially deliver around 612 hp (603 HP, 450 kW), with peak torque in excess of 1000 Nm (737 lbf-ft).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like the <strong>Taycan<\/strong>, the next-generation <strong>Macan <\/strong>will <strong>feature 800-volt technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Porsche<\/strong>, this high-voltage architecture ensures continuously high performance, significantly shortens charging time and reduces both the weight of the cables and the space required for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also common to the sports sedan is the type of electric motor, which is permanent magnet synchronous (PSM) with hairpin winding.
