{"id":16268,"date":"2023-02-07T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-07T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=16268"},"modified":"2023-02-06T18:46:58","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T23:46:58","slug":"bogota-successfully-closes-sustainable-mobility-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/bogota-successfully-closes-sustainable-mobility-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Bogota Successfully Closes Sustainable Mobility Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bogota successfully closed the <a href=\"https:\/\/bogota.gov.co\/mi-ciudad\/movilidad\/programacion-de-la-semana-de-la-movilidad-sostenible-en-bogota-2023\"><strong>Sustainable Mobility Week<\/strong><\/a> with the aim of promoting the use of zero-emission transportation and contributing to the quality of life of citizens when moving around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the activity, spaces were opened to discuss mobility issues in terms of the care of people and the distribution of public space for better mobility, and there were tours of strategic locations where important comprehensive mobility projects are being developed and that will boost the development of Bogota and the Metropolitan Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initiative, organized by the Mayor&#8217;s Office and the District Mobility Secretariat, was attended by <strong>13 international experts from Europe, the United States, Mexico and Argentina<\/strong>, who learned about the infrastructure projects being developed in Bogota, such as the <strong>First and Second Metro Lines, the Carrera 7 Green Corridor, the Regiotram Norte, the Medio Milenio Bike Path, the Aerial Cables<\/strong>, among others that are currently being designed and implemented in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/the-1000th-electric-bus-incorporated-in-chiles-transportation-network\/\"><strong>The 1,000th Electric Bus Incorporated in Chile\u2019s Transportation Network<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-city-of-the-future\"><strong>The City of the Future<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the week, exhibitions and panels were held, focusing on the sectors where the works that will change the face of the city in the coming years are being carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative began with a discussion on <strong>&#8220;The New Eastern Edge, a Modern, Vital and Revitalizing Center<\/strong>&#8220;, followed by<strong> &#8220;Connection and Regional Integration with the Productive Heart of Bogota, for an Equitable Southwest&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the third day of activities, citizens attended the space <strong>&#8220;The Consolidation and Construction of the City, an Affordable and Accessible Northwestern Edge&#8221;<\/strong> and to close the event there was a discussion on <strong>&#8220;A Sustainable Bogota that Greens&#8221;<\/strong>, focused on the Public Policy on Zero and Low Emissions Mobility.<br><br>In addition, the Mayor of Bogota, <strong>Claudia Lopez<\/strong>, and the Secretary of Mobility, <strong>Deyanira Avila<\/strong>, conducted bicycle tours to show experts how Bogota is progressing in sustainable infrastructure with forward-looking projects, and at the same time, receive input on initiatives underway to improve mobility in the city and integration with neighboring municipalities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bogota successfully closed the Sustainable Mobility Week with the aim of promoting the use of zero-emission transportation and contributing to the quality of life of citizens when moving around.
