{"id":17884,"date":"2023-04-14T05:05:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T10:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=17884"},"modified":"2023-04-13T17:02:40","modified_gmt":"2023-04-13T22:02:40","slug":"abb-and-solfium-sign-agreement-to-accelerate-electromobility-in-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/abb-and-solfium-sign-agreement-to-accelerate-electromobility-in-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"ABB and SOLFIUM Sign Agreement to Accelerate Electromobility in Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The announcement of the construction of a <strong>Tesla <\/strong>plant in <strong>Mexico <\/strong>has awakened the interest of other players to join the electromobility drive in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ABB Mexico<\/strong> and <strong>SOLFIUM Mexico<\/strong> signed an important strategic alliance that seeks to accelerate decarbonization and present sustainable and technologically advanced solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vicente Maga\u00f1a<\/strong>, President and CEO of <strong>ABB Mexico<\/strong>, together with <strong>Juan Osuna<\/strong>, Co-Founder and CEO of <strong>SOLFIUM Mexico<\/strong>, were in charge of sealing the agreement focused on the pillars of technology, sustainability and digitalization of both companies, to contribute in a relevant way to the challenge of electrifying the Mexican energy system, and reduce its CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions with significant savings in homes, small businesses and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/cabify-and-zeleros-unveil-strategy-to-lead-in-electric-mobility\/\"><strong>Cabify and Zeleros Unveil Strategy to Lead in Electric Mobility<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-action-lines\"><strong>Action Lines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through strategic actions, <strong>both companies will jointly promote integrated infrastructure solutions for photovoltaic solar energy generation and other technologies based on clean energy, including ABB chargers for electric vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also propose projects such as solar panels and energy storage systems, which <strong>SOLFIUM <\/strong>will integrate with those partners that are part of the <strong>ABB <\/strong>ecosystem interested in implementing energy savings and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the framework of this cooperation, <strong>SOLFIUM<\/strong>, through its disruptive model in decarbonization of value chains, will support <strong>ABB <\/strong>in its internal objectives of carbon neutrality and corporate social responsibility, promoting solar energy in its offices and industrial plants, as well as with its employees, customers, suppliers and other partners in <strong>Mexico<\/strong>.<br><br>Additionally, this collaboration includes multiple other projects focused on sustainability that will bring much added value to Mexican society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-general-roadmap\"><strong>General Roadmap<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Maga\u00f1a assured that this agreement is aligned with <strong>ABB<\/strong>&#8216;s 2030 sustainability strategy of actively contributing to a more sustainable world, leading by example in its own operations, and partnering with customers and suppliers to enable a low-carbon society, preserve resources, and promote social progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, <strong>Juan Osuna<\/strong> expressed his motivation for a partnership that will accelerate the decarbonization of cities in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Through this collaboration, we will be working together with <strong>ABB <\/strong>to make sense of the transition to electric vehicles, and to ensure that they are charged with totally renewable and clean energy such as solar power,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The announcement of the construction of a Tesla plant in Mexico has awakened the interest of other players to join the electromobility drive in the country.
