All through its &#8220;<strong>Mobility Master Plan<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gala of this recognition was held at <strong>La Nave<\/strong>, the most important innovation center of the City Council of Madrid, Spain. The meeting was attended by institutional representatives, jurors, winners and representatives of organizations that are part of the <strong>Business Platform for Sustainable Mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The system has made Bogota a world reference in the use of bicycles, not only for recreational purposes, but also as a means of transportation. <\/strong>All this is due to the fact that it has the largest network of bicycle routes in Latin America, with <strong>a total of 600 kilometers and 880,000 daily bicycle trips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18434\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2-600x337.jpg 600w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/BT-2.jpg 1050w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Bogota City Hall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/the-medellin-metro-offers-mobility-options-to-tourists-in-partnership-with-turibus\/\"><strong>The Medell\u00edn Metro Offers Mobility Options to Tourists in Partnership with Turibus<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-department\"><strong>Key Department<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Colombian capital&#8217;s Secretariat of Mobility has been key in driving sustainable initiatives. &#8220;We work continuously to promote the use and enjoyment of sustainable means of transportation, for a greener, more integrated and more accessible Bogota,&#8221; they point out from the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sara Aagesen<\/strong>, Secretary of State for Energy of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, highlighted the importance of the International Mobility Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Knowing good practices and success stories, and highlighting them, is essential to inspire others and, together, achieve the goals set in mobility.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that the members of the <strong>Business Platform for Sustainable Mobility<\/strong> <strong>were responsible for nominating Bogota for the International Award, one of its two special categories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other categories require prior submission of nominations by the entities or companies interested in participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award obtained by <strong>Bogota <\/strong>is in addition to the ranking &#8220;<strong>Urban Mobility Readiness Index 2022<\/strong>&#8220;, which placed t<strong>he capital of Colombia in 34th place in the ranking, for prioritizing the electrification of transportation, developing emission-free zones<\/strong>,<strong> investing in charging infrastructure and offering incentives for the acquisition of electric vehicles<\/strong>.
