The announcement of the construction of a <strong>Tesla <\/strong>plant in the country is the starting point for other manufacturers to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of them is the Korean automaker <strong>KIA<\/strong>, which will install a new electric vehicle production plant in <strong>Nuevo Le\u00f3n<\/strong>. The announcement was made by the Governor of the State, <strong>Samuel Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, who assured that the region will become the &#8220;<strong>next global electromobility hub<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governor of Nuevo Le\u00f3n also advanced that, during his visit to Korea, he agreed with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on a $15 million dollar (263 million pesos) green transition program for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We signed a very important agreement because we are going to receive support of $10 million dollars -that&#8217;s 200 million pesos- for all <strong>SMEs <\/strong>that wish to transform from their status quo to a green or sustainable step,&#8221; he detailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Related content: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/bogota-becomes-latin-americas-leading-city-for-sustainable-mobility\/\"><strong>Bogota Becomes Latin America\u2019s Leading City for Sustainable Mobility<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-range-of-opportunities\"><strong>Range of Opportunities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the President, as a result of this program, small companies will be able to achieve zero net emissions, as well as being &#8220;green and sustainable&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;There will be many opportunities to transform ourselves to electromobility and all these new sciences that generate wealth in a sustainable way,&#8221; said Garcia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governor embarked days ago on a tour through <strong>South Korea<\/strong> and <strong>Taiwan <\/strong>with the purpose of seeking new investments for Nuevo Le\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trip comes after the Mexican government confirmed in February that <strong>Tesla <\/strong>will install its next <strong>Gigafactory <\/strong>in Santa Catarina, in the northern state, which will be <strong>the first plant in Latin America and the largest in the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is estimated that <strong>Elon Musk<\/strong>&#8216;s company will make <strong>an initial investment of US$5 billion and generate between 35 and 40,000 formal jobs<\/strong>, according to Garcia&#8217;s statements.
