One of the points within this activity corresponds to the safety of heavy vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, <strong>Volvo Trucks<\/strong>, one of the pioneers in electric heavy transport, launched an <strong>Augmented Reality<\/strong> (AR) safety application for electrified trucks, specifically <strong>designed to provide rapid response in the event of an emergency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The platform is developed to provide valuable and instantaneous information from the electric truck to the emergency services team arriving on the scene, to guide them in real time and ensure safe rescue conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/bosch-to-invest-1-5-billion-in-semiconductor-market\/\"><strong>Bosch to Invest $1.5 Billion in Semiconductor Market<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-high-performance-and-safety\"><strong>High Performance and Safety<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lars Stenqvist<\/strong>, <strong>Volvo Group<\/strong>&#8216;s Chief Technology Officer, stresses that the manufacturer&#8217;s main aspiration is to offer 100 percent safe products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are proud to be at the forefront of the electric truck revolution with high-performance solutions, but we also recognize the importance of ensuring the safety of emergency responders in the event of an EV incident,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He detailed that <strong>the new AR app is a powerful tool that can help emergency services protect the site quickly and safely, while minimizing the risk of injury to those involved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Emergency Response Guide<\/strong> app, now available for free download from the <strong>Android <\/strong>and <strong>Apple <\/strong>stores, provides safety information for all <strong>Volvo Group<\/strong> heavy electric truck brands, including <strong>Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks <\/strong>and <strong>Mack Trucks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Mack <\/strong>electric trucks, <strong>AR features will be added during June 2023<\/strong>.<br><br>Using <strong>a combination of connectivity, camera, sensors, 3D modeling and augmented reality overlays, the safety app can provide first responders with a detailed view of the vehicle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also provides information on the location of high-voltage cables, battery packs and other key components, as well as step-by-step instructions on how to safely shut down the electric vehicle&#8217;s power supply in the event of an emergency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fleet management and administration is nowadays key for large companies to have an efficient operation at the lowest possible cost.
