With a presence in more than 50 countries and covering nearly 40% of the electric vehicle market in China<\/strong>, BYD <\/strong>is one of the leading manufacturers in the production and marketing of low- or zero-emission cars on a global scale.<\/p> The attributes and impact of the brand in the automotive industry has led them to receive recognition such as the one announced a few days ago by the prestigious “Time<\/strong>” magazine, which included BYD in the list of most influential companies of 2023<\/strong>.<\/p> “BYD <\/strong>is one of the world’s leading automakers, accounting for 39% of electric or hybrid cars sold in China<\/strong> – the world’s largest automotive market – and is present in 53 countries and regions around the globe,” highlights Time<\/strong>‘s publication.<\/p> In the review, the magazine stresses that the Asian multinational aims to become the world’s leading manufacturer of electric vehicles by selling 3.7 million cars by 2023<\/strong>, compared to the 2 million expected for Tesla<\/strong>.<\/p> “Backed by Warren Buffett<\/strong> and led by its founder and CEO, Wang Chuanfu<\/strong>, it is a vital driver of the green energy revolution as a leading clean car brand in markets as diverse as Brazil, Colombia, Israel <\/strong>and Thailand,<\/strong>” Time notes.<\/p> In addition to the recognition of the distinguished magazine, in recent days, the consulting firm Counterpoint indicated that the company that sold the most units in the first quarter of 2023 was the Chinese BYD, achieving a share of 21.1%<\/strong>.<\/p>
