Despite a slight drop in the month of May, the first half of the year has been a success in the commercialization of electric vehicles in Chile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to figures from the National Automotive Association of Chile<\/strong> (ANAC), a total of 601<\/strong> electrified cars were sold between January and May<\/strong>, which implies a 35.7% jump compared to the same period in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In May, the sale of zero or low-emission cars registered a 22.9% decrease<\/strong> and 585 vehicles were registered with this type of engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With respect to heavy vehicles, electric buses accumulated 955 units sold in the first five months of this year with an increase of 1,668%, compared to 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
