For example, in <strong>Mexico<\/strong>, it already sells two SUVs and a sedan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BYD estimates that in the coming months it will expand its offer of electric vehicles in the country<\/strong>, with the introduction of other models, in order to cover both high-end options, as well as small and &#8220;accessible&#8221; priced ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/blink-charging-to-use-tesla-connectors-in-chargers\/\"><strong>Blink Charging to Use Tesla Connectors in Chargers<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alternatives\"><strong>Alternatives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a report by <strong>Forbes Mexico<\/strong> magazine, <strong>Gustavo Lara<\/strong>, <strong>BYD Mexico<\/strong>&#8216;s Director of Marketing and Communication, said that this year the Chinese automaker will specifically launch two new electric models and a hybrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Of these units, with respect to those we already market, we have one at a higher price, and another one at a lower price,&#8221; commented the executive during his conversation with <strong>Forbes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the new <strong>BYD <\/strong>vehicles that will reach the market in 2023, one will be priced above 1 million 399 thousand pesos, which is the base price of the <strong>Tang SUV<\/strong>, while another of the units that will start to be marketed will be below 799 thousand pesos, which is the base price of the <strong>Yuan Plus SUV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-next-year-s-projection\"><strong>Next Year&#8217;s Projection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, <strong>BYD plans to introduce to the Mexican market the small car Seagull, an electric car that costs US$11,000 in China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After announcing in March that its goal would be to reach <strong>Mexico City <\/strong>and <strong>Guadalajara<\/strong>, <strong>BYD <\/strong>decided to expand its goal. &#8220;Since April we decided to scale the plan of being only in CDMX and Guadalajara to all the states of the Republic, <strong>with the opening of 50 showrooms in 2023<\/strong>,&#8221; explained Lara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these announcements, <strong>the automaker already has two dealerships and a workshop in the Mexican capital, as well as a store in Guadalajara, Jalisco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is expected that the Asian giant will soon add more locations in the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Quintana Roo, Yucat\u00e1n and Nuevo Le\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Electric vehicle manufacturer Build Your Dreams (BYD) aims to market 5,000 units this year and quadruple the figure by 2024.
