The International Air Transport Association<\/strong> (IATA) estimates that by 2040 there will be a demand that reaches 8 billion passengers for air transport in the world<\/strong>, so seeking sustainable solutions to a growing market such as aviation is key for countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recently, the organization presented a series of pillars to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050<\/strong>. The strategy addresses different steps that commit the entire aviation industry, such as the manufacture of new aircraft, energy transition, operational and financial aspects, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Along these lines, the National Biofuels Federation of Colombia <\/strong>(Fedebiocombustibles) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the International Civil Aviation Organization<\/strong> (ICAO), to be part of the Assistance, Capacity Building and Training Program for Sustainable Aviation Fuels<\/strong> (SAF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The objective of this agreement is to provide the opportunity to develop the potential of each of the countries belonging to the program to promote the use of sustainable aviation fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
