reduce emissions in all activities related to heavy transport, the <strong>Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility<\/strong> (Aedive) will promote an alliance with <strong>Iberdrola <\/strong>to work in acceleration with the entire industrial, technological and service ecosystem of electric mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement is in line with the goal of the <strong>Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation<\/strong> (AFIR), which establishes national infrastructure targets and obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement also seeks to <strong>encourage the electrification of transport, promoting its decarbonization and reducing greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> to contribute to the fight against climate Made<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the signing ceremony of the alliance, the CEO of <strong>Aedive<\/strong>, <strong>Arturo P\u00e9rez de Lucia<\/strong> highlighted the capacity of on-board batteries, the deployment of recharging infrastructures or the availability of the necessary energy at supply points as the main challenges to be faced in this objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Just five years ago, the sector was developing DC charging points that could only offer 150 kW of power and what we called fast charging were 50 kW supply points, insufficient to offer a usage experience similar to combustion over medium and long distances, he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The executive pointed out that <strong>today charging points of up to 400 kW are already being installed<\/strong>, in addition to having set the course for megawatt recharging, which will have commercial solutions in heavy vehicles in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, <strong>P\u00e9rez de Luc\u00eda detailed that 50% of new truck sales will be electric by 2030<\/strong>, &#8220;but today we are in 2023 and we still cannot cover all use cases in transportation and logistics with electric vehicles.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Finding solutions to most of the challenges is just a matter of time and if in the meantime, we electrify all the routes that are already possible today, we will
