Mexico <\/strong>has been finalizing a series of agreements that place the country as one of the most prominent in electromobility in the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the biggest challenges to adoption are the lack of knowledge about new technologies; infrastructure challenges, and the need for changes in culture<\/strong>, as well as the low priority that some governments assign to this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the most important Latin American community in the field of sustainable mobility, will return once again to Mexico City<\/strong> to close its “Tour 2023<\/strong>“, as a boost to the accelerated growth that the sector is going through in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Agreements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Among the agreements reached is the commitment between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada<\/strong> at the North American Leaders Summit<\/strong>, where it was agreed to create regional supply chains to promote investments in key industries<\/strong>, such as semiconductors and batteries for electric vehicles, which are vital for the development and infrastructure of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, Tesla <\/strong>confirmed this year the construction project of its plant in the State of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, which represents a turning point on the road to the massification of electromobility in Mexico and Latin America, with an investment of approximately 5 billion dollars and which could generate up to 6,000 jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the US giant’s announcements, new agreements were added, such as BMW’s plan to invest 860 million dollars in the manufacture of electric vehicles at its plant in San Luis de Potosi<\/strong>, as well as the installation of a new KIA <\/strong>plant in Nuevo Leon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a report<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> by Forbes<\/strong> magazine states that a group of 80 companies, including electric vehicle and semiconductor manufacturers from South Korea, are interested in converting the Aztec country into their manufacturing center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mexico on the Radar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This series of advances in electromobility put Mexico <\/strong>as a spearhead in the region, and that is why Latam Mobility<\/strong> has planned an exclusive meeting on October 10 and 11<\/strong>, with the participation of senior government representatives and leaders of companies that bet their efforts in the sector, in order to further strengthen the decarbonization of the transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Latam Mobility: Mexico 2023<\/strong>” will present the latest developments in the automotive sector linked to zero emissions; the needs of charging infrastructure, and the vision of global manufacturers, along with crucial issues such as clean fuels, mobility as a service (MaaS), and smart cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshops and Networking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility’s “Tour 2023”<\/strong> will feature a series of panels dedicated to specific topics, which seek to highlight the advances, challenges and opportunities in the different sectors that encompass sustainable mobility in each of the countries it visits<\/strong>, and Mexico is part of the vanguard in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public transportation, the automotive sector, cargo infrastructure, fleet management, finance, clean fuels and technology<\/strong> will be part of the content to be discussed in different panels made up of leaders from companies and government institutions, who will talk about the challenges and perspectives for Mexico, North America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, “Latam Mobility: Mexico 2023<\/strong>” will feature private workshops with specialized content related to fleet management, smart charging, electric vehicle safety<\/strong>, among others, as well as spaces dedicated to facilitate networking and further promote the development of sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
