{"id":21555,"date":"2023-08-11T05:05:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-11T10:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=21555"},"modified":"2023-08-11T08:13:25","modified_gmt":"2023-08-11T13:13:25","slug":"andes-motor-and-foton-introduce-electric-vehicle-training-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/andes-motor-and-foton-introduce-electric-vehicle-training-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Andes Motor and Foton Introduce Electric Vehicle Training Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Two companies that play a leading role in the development of electric mobility in <strong>Chile<\/strong>, are once again making a great effort to massify the use of zero-emission vehicles in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andes Motor<\/strong> and <strong>Foton <\/strong>closed an agreement to install their first electric vehicle training program, an initiative that will be associated with the development of a complete training program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is headed by the management of buses and vans, and arises as a basis for new learning at <strong>Andes Motor<\/strong>, where they want to have a space for specialization as a fundamental point in the role of importer, with <strong>more than 1,350 units of 100% electric buses circulating in public transport in Santiago<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alliances-importance\"><strong>Alliances Importance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Luis Izquierdo<\/strong>, General Manager of <strong>Andes Motor<\/strong>, assured that the objective is to keep all the teams updated with respect to this technology, in addition to welcoming various actors related to Foton at the Latin American level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have been working hand in hand with the factory to be always updated on electromobility. Some time ago we sent two members of our Training Center to train in electric buses in China, at <strong>Foton<\/strong>&#8216;s facilities. Then we moved forward with this project, which is finally taking shape and has a much greater magnitude&#8221;, said <strong>Fabi\u00e1n Orellana<\/strong>, in charge of the project, in statements published in the Chilean newspaper <strong>La Tercera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This training program will take place at the end of this year at the Andes Motor training center, and includes theoretical and practical classes that will be certified based on the learning levels of each participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/chile-achieves-historic-record-of-electric-buses\/\"><strong>Chile Achieves Historic Record of Electric Buses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-macro-strategy\"><strong>A Macro Strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The public sector is key to boost investments and initiatives from the private sector. A few days ago, the president of Chile, <strong>Gabriel Boric<\/strong>, presented the &#8220;<strong>Electromobility Roadmap<\/strong>&#8220;, a document that contains the concrete proposals of the South American country to the year 2026 to massify the use of electric mobility in the short and medium term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same vein, the Chilean Minister of Energy, <strong>Diego Pardow<\/strong>, explained that the program is key to the advancement of electromobility and has among its main axes the promotion of public transport and charging infrastructure for companies to migrate to this technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-major-mobility-meeting\"><strong>Major Mobility Meeting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of the key players in the region in building the largest sustainable community in Latin America, <strong>Latam Mobility arrives in Chile on August 27 and 28 as part of the Mobility and Sustainability Tour 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting will bring together leading personalities from the public sector and private companies, with the aim of offering their perspectives and a snapshot of the current sustainable mobility landscape in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For participation information, please contact <a href=\"mailto:info@investinlatam.org\"><strong>info@investinlatam.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two companies that play a leading role in the development of electric mobility in Chile, are once again making a great effort to massify the use of zero-emission vehicles in the country.
