August 9, 2023 will be another date that will be marked in the milestones and development of electromobility on a global scale. On the aforementioned date, the Chinese manufacturer, BYD, reached the figure of 5 million new energy vehicles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is worth noting that the company had to wait 13 years to achieve the first million cars with these characteristics, another 18 months to reach three million and, surprisingly, only 9 more months to reach the five million mark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2022, BYD’s new energy vehicles experienced remarkable growth, with total sales exceeding 1.86 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The momentum continued in 2023, when the brand reached an impressive cumulative sales volume of 1.5 million units from January to July, including a remarkable 92,469 units sold overseas that surpassed the total overseas sales for the entire previous year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In July 2023, BYD’s global new energy vehicle sales soared above 4.8 million cumulative unit<\/strong>s. BYD’s electric public transport solutions are already operational in more than 400 cities, in over 70 countries. Meanwhile, BYD’s new energy vehicles have made their mark in more than 54 nations, with the BYD ATTO 3<\/strong> (BYD Yuan Plus), one of its flagship models, leading NEV sales in Thailand, Israel and Singapore for several months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
