Through the “My Electric Taxi”<\/strong> program of Chile’s Ministry of Energy, drivers can obtain significant financing for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Energy Sustainability Agency<\/strong> sponsors this plan that seeks to provide concrete support so that owners of basic cabs and urban buses can change their work vehicles for an electric one, with a co-financing of 12 million and up to 16 million pesos for the acquisition of electric cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In its first stage, the program achieved the replacement of 50 combustion vehicles used as basic cabs for electric vehicles in Santiago, including the delivery and installation of a residential charger in the home at zero cost for the beneficiary.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The second version of the Mi Taxi El\u00e9ctrico program is currently being implemented and provides benefits for up to 80 basic cabs, executive cabs or urban collective cabs. As a novelty, the regions of Valpara\u00edso, Metropolitana, Biob\u00edo, La Araucan\u00eda, Los R\u00edos and Ays\u00e9n were included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
