{"id":23985,"date":"2023-10-16T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=23985"},"modified":"2023-10-16T07:00:21","modified_gmt":"2023-10-16T12:00:21","slug":"toyota-to-supply-electric-vehicles-for-the-2024-olympic-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/toyota-to-supply-electric-vehicles-for-the-2024-olympic-games\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota to Supply Electric Vehicles for the 2024 Olympic Games"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Toyota<\/strong>, global mobility partner of the <strong>International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee <\/strong>(IPC), presented its mobility concept for Paris 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this partnership, the Japanese company <strong>aims to make Paris 2024 the most innovative inclusive and sustainable mobility showcase to date.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toyota will make available around 700 &#8220;last mile&#8221; personal mobility vehicles, including 250 C+walkS with seat and C+walkT for standing use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-features\"><strong>Features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These are battery-electric vehicles with a maximum speed of 6 km\/h and are equipped with front obstacle detection systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For wheelchair users, <strong>Toyota will also provide 50 e-pullers in the athletes&#8217; village.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/official-launch-of-amive-the-association-to-unite-the-electromobility-ecosystem-in-mexico\/\">Official Launch of AMIVE: The Association to Unite the Electromobility Ecosystem in Mexico<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>Toyota will deploy around 250 APM (Accessible People Movers) electric vehicles and 150 Proace Verso, also battery electric and wheelchair accessible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Paris 2024, all vehicles will remain in the Paris region, where they will be used to provide specialized personal transportation services for wheelchair users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"814\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOYO-2-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23979\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOYO-2-1.png 814w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOYO-2-1-300x174.png 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOYO-2-1-768x445.png 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOYO-2-1-600x348.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 814px) 100vw, 814px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Toyota<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-on-a-large-scale\"><strong>On a Large Scale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With regard to passenger vehicles, <strong>Toyota will carry more than 2,650, of which around 60% of the fleet will have zero CO2 emissions, including Toyota bZ4X, Proace and Proace Verso and Lexus RZ battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and Toyota Mirai hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 500 of the latter will be deployed and will join the existing fleet of hydrogen cabs in Paris after the Games, bringing the number of FCEVs to 1,500.<br><br>These 100% zero-emission vehicles will be joined by around 1,000 hybrids (HEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), including RAV4s, Toyota Corolla TS, Yaris Cross and Highlander.
