As part of the 36th edition of the “\u00c9poca Moderna” of La Carrera Panamericana, Porsche de Mexico held an event at the Kaluz Museum in Mexico City, a historic venue that houses and exhibits Mexican art from the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the gala, the Stuttgart-based company unveiled the second vehicle of the “TAG Heuer and Porsche – Legends of the Panamericana” project, consisting of two unique cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the first car presented at the Rennsport Reunion 7 at the end of September, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Carrera Panamericana Special will be auctioned in an open bidding for national and international customers next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proceeds will be donated to charity. Both cars, 152 and 154 are part of the Sonderwunsch project, developed in collaboration between TAG Heuer and Porsche, with the intention of paying tribute to the Porsche 550 Coup\u00e9 with which two customer teams competed in the Carrera Panamericana in 1953.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving in the Capital<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After the first kilometers of competition and after completing the first two stages, through the states of Veracruz and Oaxaca, La Carrera Panamericana arrived in Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the tour, the Porsche team had the special participation of American racing driver Patrick Dempsey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actor and TAG Heuer and Porsche Design ambassador raced together with Victor Medina, Porsche certified driver, aboard the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, labeled with the competition number 154, an exclusive car that was unveiled at the last Rennsport Reunion 7, held in late September at the Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the official Porsche drivers, Fernando G\u00f3mez Urquiza is participating at the wheel of a 1973 914-6 in the Historic B Category, while Diego Candano, aboard a 1974 911 known as “Aquiles” competes in the Historic B Plus Category and Benito Guerra Jr. at the wheel of a 1980 Porsche 911, will compete in the B Plus Category. In addition, La Carrera Panamericana has the participation of more than 30 Porsche vehicles registered in six different categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobility Summit in Monterrey<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mexico is one of the strongest markets for sustainable mobility in Latin America. After the successful meeting in Mexico City, Latam Mobility returns to Monterrey in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
