{"id":24889,"date":"2023-11-08T05:10:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-08T10:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=24889"},"modified":"2023-11-07T16:31:20","modified_gmt":"2023-11-07T21:31:20","slug":"mexico-received-more-than-5-billion-dollars-in-investments-in-electromobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-received-more-than-5-billion-dollars-in-investments-in-electromobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico Received More Than 5 Billion Dollars in Investments in Electromobility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mexico&#8217;s National Auto Parts Industry reported that between January and September 2023, <strong>the automotive sector invested more than US$5 billion in electromobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This figure represents approximately <strong>32% of the total investments of the entire sector, which amounted to 15.722 billion dollars in the same period.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nuevo Le\u00f3n was the state that received the most projects in this area, with a total of 20 of the 83 that were installed in different parts of the country, followed by Coahuila with 18 and Guanajuato with 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Industry detailed that of the total number of auto parts projects registered in the January-September period (142), <strong>83 were found to be directly related to electromobility platforms. That is, 58.4% of the total, which demonstrates the strong trend towards electrification in the Mexican automotive industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the third quarter of the year alone, the industry earmarked US$1,000,000 for electromobility projects. This amount represented 31 % of a total investment of 3,422,000 registered in the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"557\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/INC-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24883\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.638235294117647;width:775px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/INC-1.png 557w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/INC-1-300x183.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Industria Nacional de Autopartes M\u00e9xico<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-significant-increase\"><strong>Significant Increase<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Auto Parts Industry, between July and September 2023, a total of 66 investments in all segments came to Mexico from 15 countries, which was 57.1% more than in the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of this total, <strong>44 corresponded to new investments, 19 were for expansions and 2 for retooling, while one was mixed, i.e., new and expansion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related content:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/hitachi-energy-successfully-deploys-first-centralized-electric-bus-charging-system-in-canada\/\"><strong>Hitachi Energy Successfully Deploys First Centralized Electric Bus Charging System in Canada<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By category, the majority, 38 of them, were related to the auto parts segment and 8 were for industrial parks.
