One relevant fact is that, during operation, electric cars do not emit CO<sub>2<\/sub>, NOx or other harmful particles. In fact, one study indicates that these vehicles could reduce emissions by up to 43% compared to diesel&#8221;,<\/strong> explains Enerlink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another aspect to consider is the manufacture of batteries for these cars. Surprisingly, <strong>about 50% of the emissions associated with their production come from the electricity consumed in the process<\/strong>. But it is important to note that these emissions vary depending on where the batteries are produced and the type of electricity used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electric cars are an excellent alternative from an environmental point of view, especially in areas where a clean energy source predominates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the carbon footprint in the production of their batteries, their overall balance can be greener, especially if they replace conventional vehicles and take into account the region&#8217;s energy source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-charging-infrastructure\"><strong>Charging Infrastructure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When opting for an electric car, it is crucial to consider the charging infrastructure in each region.
