We as a sector are supporting all the necessary efforts for the country to be at the forefront of technology,&#8221; said the executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;The minister told us that this is also the government&#8217;s priority, to promote a green economy that generates jobs and formalization of the economy,&#8221; <\/strong>he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"Paraguay: Taiwanese Company Seeks to Invest in Electric Mobility Projects\"><strong>Paraguay: Taiwanese Company Seeks to Invest in Electric Mobility Projects<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-support-from-private-sector\"><strong>Support from Private Sector<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrizosa emphasized that the automotive sector will contribute to the insertion of the country into the value chain that exists in the region in terms of auto parts and vehicle assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;That is the objective we are pursuing, to assemble electric vehicles and to be leaders in the region in that aspect. We believe that Paraguay is on the right track, and we hope that all the actors involved will join forces,&#8221;<\/strong> he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-public-policies\"><strong>Public Policies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In mid 2023, Paraguay launched the <strong>Multimodal Electric Mobility Master Plan for Urban Public Transport and Logistics,<\/strong> with which it is estimated that by 2040, the country will be positioned as a reference in the Latin American region for its energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On that occasion,<strong> the Vice-Minister of Industry and Commerce, Francisco Ruiz D\u00edaz, pointed out that there is currently an international commitment to move from polluting energy to clean energy, an objective that Paraguay is also pursuing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country has imported US$ 2.6 billion a year in oil and when it rises, it impacts the people.
