{"id":25464,"date":"2023-11-21T05:10:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T10:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=25464"},"modified":"2023-11-21T06:42:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T11:42:09","slug":"enel-leads-electromobility-in-carretera-austral-project-in-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/enel-leads-electromobility-in-carretera-austral-project-in-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"Enel Leads &#8220;Electromobility in Carretera Austral&#8221; Project in Chile"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Through an important alliance between the public and private sectors, <strong>Enel is leading the PER Turismo Program, where together with Big Magazine, Corfo Ays\u00e9n is carrying out the initiative &#8220;Electromobility in Carretera Austral.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project currently allows more than 1,200 kilometers, between Puerto Montt in the Los Lagos Region to Villa O&#8217;Higgins in the Ays\u00e9n Region, <strong>to have a network of 17 public chargers for electric vehicles that will allow to travel a good part of the Chilean Patagonia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities and representatives of the companies involved arrived at Villa Ma\u00f1ihuales in the Ays\u00e9n Region for the ribbon cutting ceremony that inaugurates this electro-route that connects 1221 kilometers thanks to the benefits of electromobility and its emission-free technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"421\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/AENE-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/AENE-2.png 696w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/AENE-2-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/AENE-2-600x363.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Corfo Ays\u00e9n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-project-details\"><strong>Project Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Electromobility in <strong>Carretera Austral<\/strong> is a public charging network for electric vehicles with 17 stations installed and operated by <strong>Enel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The devices, <strong>in charge mode 3, will operate at a maximum power of 7.4 kW. As they are &#8220;Socket&#8221; type chargers, they allow the supply of all types of vehicles that have a public charging hose with at least one European type input.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read also: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/enel-x-and-marcopolo-present-metrorreys-first-electric-bus\/\">Enel X and Marcopolo Present Metrorrey\u2019s First Electric Bus<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the charging operation, users must have a special <strong>Enel <\/strong>application and follow the instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the advantages of this equipment is that it has WayMeter technology, a feature that optimizes power balancing. A benefit that allows charging the vehicle without altering the consumption of the enclosure from where the energy is supplied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-high-technology\"><strong>High Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Humberto Mar\u00edn Leiva<\/strong>, Director of Corfo Ays\u00e9n, indicated that the project aims to promote the use of more efficient, economic and clean technologies to achieve more sustainable tourism in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;This implies reducing the environmental impact and ensuring long-term benefits for the communities and the territory of Ays\u00e9n. I want to highlight the commitment of the government I represent to sustainable development and environmental preservation by integrating electric mobility in one of the most impressive landscapes of our country,&#8221; <\/strong>he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar\u00edn acknowledged the joint effort they are making to promote cleaner technologies. &#8220;We are building a path to a more sustainable future and I am excited about the positive impact this project will have on our beautiful region.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, <strong>Jaime Guazzini<\/strong>, president of the PER Turismo Executive Committee, said they are fully committed to supporting projects that promote sustainability in tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This initiative aligns perfectly with our vision of becoming a sustainable tourism destination.
