{"id":26887,"date":"2023-12-19T05:05:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T10:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=26887"},"modified":"2023-12-18T17:29:15","modified_gmt":"2023-12-18T22:29:15","slug":"chile-sign-important-agreement-to-promote-electromobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/chile-sign-important-agreement-to-promote-electromobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Chile: Sign Important Agreement to Promote Electromobility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de la Sant\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n de Chile (UCSC), through the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico Sede Chill\u00e1n and the Centro de Energ\u00eda de la Casa de Estudios, together with the Cooperativa de Consumo de Energ\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica Chill\u00e1n, Copelec, <strong>signed an agreement to identify initiatives of common interest around issues associated with the study and implementation of electromobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a focus on promoting research, innovation and development of projects related to electromobility in \u00d1uble, the agreement will seek to jointly develop R&amp;D&amp;I activities by defining profiles of pilot application projects, as well as seeking public-private financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sense, the Rector of the <strong>UCSC<\/strong>, <strong>Cristhian Mellado<\/strong>, pointed out that through the alliance they are making the Energy Center available, which will allow them to work on research and development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/porsche-chile-and-copec-voltex-inaugurate-charging-station-at-casacostanera\/\"><strong>Porsche Chile and Copec Voltex Inaugurate Charging Station at CasaCostanera<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Currently, the Energy Center is working on issues such as electromobility and green hydrogen, so being able to have this alliance with a cooperative that has history and has enabled the development of the Region, will allow us to align all the efforts we are making in academia, with the public sector and private sector&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-objectives\"><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to an official communiqu\u00e9 from the <strong>UCSC<\/strong>, the agreement aims to promote the implementation of electromobility in the \u00d1uble Region, by working together to develop a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, through the integration of renewable energies and energy storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The General Manager of Copelec, <strong>Patricio Lagos<\/strong>, highlighted the agreement signed, stating that these alliances bring good benefits for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;For us, the focus is on people, and electromobility is an issue that is part of our company&#8217;s commitment.
