{"id":27120,"date":"2024-01-08T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=27120"},"modified":"2024-01-08T15:15:35","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T20:15:35","slug":"this-is-how-electric-vehicle-sales-will-close-in-2024-according-to-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/this-is-how-electric-vehicle-sales-will-close-in-2024-according-to-study\/","title":{"rendered":"This is How Electric Vehicle Sales Will Close in 2023, According to Study"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Global sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) increased by 20% over the previous year, according to a market study by UK-based <a href=\"https:\/\/rhomotion.com\/\">Rho Motion.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BEV and PHEV <strong>sales reached a new monthly record of 1.4 million units, up from 1.1 million in November 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to <em>Reuters <\/em>news agency, <strong>Data Manager Charles Lester explained that sales have continued to increase despite the inconsistency the market has presented.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-environmental-awareness\"><strong>Environmental Awareness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Francisco Medina<\/strong>, Manager of Electric Vehicles at <strong>Nissan Peru and Chile<\/strong>, said in a review by <em>El Comercio<\/em> that sustainable mobility stands as an imperative need in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;This approach seeks to transform our transportation systems to address various environmental challenges such as climate change, air pollution, and the depletion of natural resources.
