So it is investing heavily in smart (systems) to maintain the inertia of its sales growth,&#8221;<\/strong> explained <strong>Cao Hua<\/strong>, a partner at Unity Asset Management, as quoted by Hong Kong&#8217;s <em>South China Morning Post<\/em> newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More than 5% of the vehicles BYD sold in 2023 had intelligent driving systems<\/strong>, and the company expects that figure to increase in the current fiscal year, during which it will launch more than a dozen models equipped with lidar sensors, which detect and measure distances using a pulsed laser beam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BYD announced that it is developing an intelligent system within its advanced platform for electric vehicles.
