Granholm<\/strong>, explained that the U.S. investment agenda supports building affordable and reliable electric vehicle charging infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Today&#8217;s funding helps propel the nation toward a clean and equitable transportation future, one that energizes local economies and builds more resilient communities,&#8221; <\/strong>she stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"558\" height=\"298\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/CHARGE-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27943\" style=\"width:732px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/CHARGE-1.png 558w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/CHARGE-1-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: RFI <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Related content:<\/strong> <a href=\"Opel: Each Line to have at Least One Electric Model by 2024\"><strong>Opel: Each Line to have at Least One Electric Model by 2024<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-projections\"><strong>Projections<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Transportation Secretary <strong>Pete Buttigieg<\/strong> noted that the White House&#8217;s focus is on ensuring that America wins the electric vehicle race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>These funds are part of that mission, helping to grow our new auto economy with electric vehicles and electric vehicle chargers made in America by American workers,&#8221;<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program<\/strong>, in partnership with other institutions, are investing $7.5 billion to build a national electric vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The $46.5 million announcement, to be executed by the Joint Office, builds on federal funding in Biden&#8217;s agenda to make targeted investments in areas that require critical attention.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects support clean transportation and school bus deployment. Part of the plans will help increase charger reliability by providing funds to validate and test charging equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will also seek to promote new business models for electrified shared mobility and fleet-based services, and increase opportunities for underserved communities through new jobs and training resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-latam-mobility-in-north-america\"><strong>Latam Mobility in North America<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Latam Mobility<\/strong>, Latin America&#8217;s largest sustainable mobility community, will arrive in Monterrey on <strong>February 8<\/strong> with the <a href=\"https:\/\/live.eventtia.com\/es\/latammobilitymonterrey\"><strong>&#8220;North America Mobility and Net Zero Summit 2024&#8221;.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting will bring together industry leaders, major automotive manufacturers and prominent representatives from the public sector, who will offer perspectives and projects on sustainable mobility in Mexico and the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation and ticket information <a href=\"https:\/\/live.eventtia.com\/es\/latammobilitymonterrey\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. government announced the approval of $46.5 million for 30 projects in 16 states to boost electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
