Since June last year, COPEC<\/mark><\/a> has forged an alliance with Gogoro<\/strong>, a Taiwanese electric vehicle company, to lead the development of electric motorcycles equipped with a battery exchange system with the aim of bringing them to Chile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, this partnership is important for sustainable mobility in Chile<\/strong>, and even signals the incursion of Empresas Copec<\/strong>‘s subsidiary in the emerging battery-swapping business, both in the country and in Colombia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project contemplates the introduction of the first electric motorcycles with battery swapping in Chile,<\/strong> a significant step towards the mass adoption of electric vehicles in the nation, addressing the issue of pollution while embracing the idea of convenience for users by eliminating concerns related to battery charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COPEC aims at sustainable technological development<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The partnership between COPEC <\/strong>and Gogoro <\/strong>will bring with it the creation of the first Latin American network of battery exchange stations<\/strong>, called “Go Stations”, allowing the batteries of its electric motorcycles to be exchanged quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, it aims to be an efficient and practical solution for energy recharging, where initially, it will be available at Terpel service stations in Santiago and Bogota.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, it is expected that the introduction of electric motorcycles with battery exchange and the expansion of the network of exchange stations will contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions and the promotion of sustainable mobility in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
