As part of the GEF7 Electromobility project in Chile, 21<\/strong> women from the regions of Antofagasta, Maule and Los Lagos completed the free course “Initiation to Electromobility”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative was implemented by the Energy Sustainability Agency, together with Emasa Training Center<\/strong> and the support of the Ministry of Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The local newspaper “Term\u00f3metro”<\/em> detailed that the course “Initiation to Electromobility” was developed online, with the participation of professional women and\/or students who work in areas such as automotive mechanics and electricity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The objective was to connect their knowledge with electromobility and focus their careers in this area. During the process the students were trained in introductory topics of electromobility, mainly in types of electric vehicles, inspection, diagnosis and maintenance, safety and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It took place at Emasa<\/strong>‘s facilities, located in Santiago, and was attended by authorities, such as the head of the Gender and Human Rights Office of the Ministry of Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seremi, Dafne Pino Riffo<\/strong> stated: “We are very happy that in the month of women we finish this successful course. As the Ministry of Energy, our commitment to gender equity is clear, that is why we will continue working to add more women to this sector. In turn, we hope to inspire female talent to actively participate in the energy field, thus contributing to build a more diverse and inclusive industry”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GEF7 Electromobility<\/strong> project seeks to accelerate the adoption of low-emission electric vehicles throughout the country, focusing initiatives in the regions of Antofagasta, Maule and Los Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its main axes are decentralization, climate change mitigation, reduction of air and noise pollution, the delivery of benefits of electric mobility to all people (through actions related to public transport), and the promotion of gender equity in its various initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility in Chile<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In August, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, will arrive again in Santiago de Chile<\/strong> for its 2024 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be two days that will bring together the most prominent industry leaders, along with public sector personalities, to offer their perspectives on advances in low-emission mobility, electromobility and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
