Chilean authorities launched the “Mi Colectivo El\u00e9ctrico O’Higgins”<\/strong> program in Rancagua, with the attendance of regional authorities, leaders and owners of urban and rural buses in the region, together with representatives of private and automotive companies that work with electromobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than three billion Chilean pesos were allocated by the O’Higgins Regional Government, headed by Governor Pablo Silva Amaya<\/strong>, for the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an initiative financed by the Regional Government of O’Higgins and executed by the Ministry of Energy and the Electric Sustainability Agency, which seeks to encourage the incorporation of Electric Vehicles for use as light public transportation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be done by supporting owners of collective cabs who want to renew their internal combustion vehicle for an Electric Vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Action Lines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The plan seeks to promote electromobility in the light transport segment, through the replacement of more than 150 internal combustion collective cabs with 100% electric technology in the O’Higgins region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this sense, the Governor, Pablo Silva Amaya<\/strong>, pointed out that with these measures they seek to lead electromobility in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With the ‘Mi Colectivo El\u00e9ctric<\/strong>o’ Program, we have invested more than three billion pesos for colectiveros to renew their vehicles with electromobility,” he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In addition, we launched the “Casas Solares” program for senior citizens, and in April we will deliver 10 electric buses for Rancagua. We are very committed to the environment and electromobility, so we would like to thank the Regional Council for its permanent support in this type of investments that we are making in the O’Higgins Region”,<\/strong> he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The regional authority emphasized that care for the environment is vital. “I invite all bus drivers to apply to this contest and as long as we have a good result, we intend to continue working so that the O’Higgins Region has a national leadership in electromobility for collective transportation”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility Chile 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In August, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, will arrive again in Santiago de Chile for its 2024 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be two days that will bring together the most prominent industry leaders, along with public sector personalities, to offer their perspectives on advances in low-emission mobility, electromobility and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
