Kia Chile<\/strong> delivered in an official ceremony the new Kia EV9 to the Santiago Fire Department (CBS), a unit that will serve as a transportation vehicle for the commanders and Captain of the Guard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This delivery marks a new chapter in the commitment to electromobility of Kia <\/strong>and the Santiago Fire Department, which began in November 2023, with the delivery of two Kia Niro EVs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of new mobility technologies is not new for the Santiago Fire Brigade, which has already started its journey towards sustainability with the first 100% electric fire engine in South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Roadmap<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Kia<\/strong>, electromobility is a fundamental pillar on its way to becoming the leading provider of sustainable mobility solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The alliance with the Santiago Fire Department is a further step that seeks to offer products and solutions that adapt to the needs of users in different conditions and locations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are happy to deliver the first Kia EV9 to the Santiago Fire Department, a pioneer model in electric mobility in its segment and that comes to revolutionize the experience of having a battery-powered SUV, not only for its space, habitability and great design, but also for its high safety, technology and extraordinary ride,” <\/strong>said M\u00e1ximo Morel<\/strong>, General Manager of Kia Chile<\/strong> in statements reviewed by the local newspaper Espacio T<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At Kia, we are proud to be part of this important initiative that benefits our community and the environment,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pablo Cart\u00e9s<\/strong>, Superintendent of the Santiago Fire Department, pointed out that in its 160-year history, the institution has been characterized by being at the forefront of the community’s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today, aware of the negative effects of climate change and the need to find different energy solutions, we want to advance electromobility and contribute to sustainable development, along with joining the National Strategy that the government has outlined in this regard. Adding these electric Kia vehicles to our fleet helps us in that mission and reaffirms our commitment,”<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility in Chile<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In August, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, will once again arrive in Santiago de Chile<\/strong> for its 2024 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be two days that will bring together the most prominent industry leaders, along with public sector personalities, to offer their perspectives on advances in low-emission mobility, electromobility and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
